Phone calls from parents/guardians will no longer be transferred to classrooms. Instead, the front office staff will take messages and put in the teacher's mail box.

Due to inclement weather, we may have some delays or school closures OR announce early dismissals. Please listen to local radio stations for updates and information. We send information to KTNN (AM 660), KAFF (92.9), KMGN (93.9) & THE "Q" (102.9). Follow us on facebook and "like" us to receive notifications.

Nov. 3: Dine Warrior Story at 7 pm. Presented by WIHCC-Health Promotion Disease Prevention Dept.

Nov. 4: Brain Stem Assembly, for 5th-8th grade students. Parents, you are encouraged to attend & support your child/ren.

Nov. 5: Regular School Board meeting at 4 pm 

Nov. 10:  Veteran's Breakfast & Appreciation Day. Marine Corps Birthday Cake Celebration to follow.

Nov. 11: Veteran's Day. School will be Closed to Observe Veteran's Day.

Nov. 23: Christmas Bazaar at 3 pm. Call 928.657.2373 for additional information.         

Nov. 19: Community Thanksgiving Luncheon. Honorary Guest: Miss Navajo Nation

Nov. 23: Family Connection Workshop at 1 pm at Parent Center (White Modular Trailer) Thanksgiving Pot Luck, share a favorite family Thanksgiving dish 

Nov. 24: String Story at 7 pm. Presented by WIHCC-Health Promotion Disease Prevention Dept.

Nov. 25-27: Thanksgiving Break for Students & Academic Staff. Happy Thanksgiving to one & all!!

-->Dilcon Community School will no longer allow students to possess any electronic devices due to ongoing problems with cell phones and cyberbullying. If a student is caught with any device on campus the school will confiscate it and will not return it until the end of the semester.  We have telephones at school that your child can use for emergency purposes.  Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

And if your child is ill or has a medical/dental appointment, please be ready to hand in a Dr.'s excuse note. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

FOOD SERVICE DEPARTMENT: School is back in session and we are happy to announce that Sysco Foods will be providing our Meals. You are more than welcome to purchase a meal ticket from our front office. $1.50 for breakfast and $2.50 of lunch. Come enjoy a nutritious meal with your child.

MONDAY:  Beef & Bean burrito, Spanish rice, Mexi-corn, sliced pears & variety milk

TUESDAY: Chicken noddle, breadstick, salad bar, strawberry cup & variety milk


THURSDAY: NO SCHOOL---Happy Thanksgiving




Happenings this week at DCS:

11/23/2015: DCS open.  Full day instruction. After-school tutoring/activities & Basketball practice Christmas Bazaar at 3 pm.

11/24/2015: DCS Open. Full day instruction. Kindergartners travel to Seba Dalkai for Stick Horse Rodeo, starts at 8:30 am to 11 am. Afterschool tutoring/activities.

11/25/2015: DCS Open. NO SCHOOL and Thanksgiving Break for students & Academic staff.

11/26/2015: DCS CLOSED to observe THANKSGIVING DAY. 

11/20/2015: DCS CLOSED.

               Friendly Reminders for Teachers & Support Staff:

--> Morning Duty: 7:00 am - 7:55 am, Please help supervise our students on your assigned day.

-->Make sure your students are on the right buses afterschool.  If students should leave with a parent(s) & /or guardian, please notify the drivers and/or Kit.

-->Bus Duty:  Teachers, please escort your students TO THE BUSES after school.  Please let the bus drivers know when a student is picked up or checked out by a parent or guardian. 

-->Please advise your students to use caution while using the crosswalks for their safety.

-->Please check your email for any updates and your mailboxes in room 310. Any messages from parents or attendance information for students will be placed in your box.
